What is My Girlfriendships?
From the heart…
…surround yourself with those who are willing
to be happy for you and you for them.
I came up with a new word this winter. It’s a word that describes the safe feeling I get when I call Sydney to rant with frustration, or Mallory to share something exciting, or tell Charli that I cried when I watched a car run over a turtle I was careful to avoid. It’s a word that describes the surety I feel when I call Shannon with a crazy idea, and I know she will listen and brainstorm how to get it to work. The word is Girlfriendships™.
My word Girlfriendships and all it represents are the heart of my blog, My Girlfriendships™. This My Girlfriendships space is your virtual “get-a-way” to share with the women in your lives who make you feel safe. Who, whether they’re across the ocean or across the table, can make you feel the love that sometimes only a girlfriendship can provide.
About a year ago I experienced the restorative power of girlfriendships when I traveled to my own girls weekend. After two days with Sydney, Mallory, and Charli, I knew that I wanted—no, needed—to keep the magic of that reconnection alive. I also knew that I wanted to build something so other women, like you, could experience that too.
Hello and welcome to My Girlfriendships, and my debut blog entry. I’m Lisa Najarian, but most of my friends call me “Loopie,” a name my father-in-law lovingly gave me more than 20 years ago. You can call me Lisa or Loopie—either way, I hope it’s lovingly as well.
I love that you were with me today! See you tomorrow!
XO
